Things To Be Happy About // 07

I haven't done one of these since June and felt like one was due. Read others here.

SUNDAY. Remembering to do the cleaning chores first to get them out of the way. Going to my weekly yoga class, my happy place. Coming home and enjoying the extended sunlight. It's 7 p.m. and the sky is still light and I realize I don't have anything else I have to do tonight. Baking cookies and watching Netflix and finishing a book.

MONDAY. Starting the day with yoga and a smoothie. #YWAFresh. Taking advantage of my lunch break and using it as a chance to check things off my to-do list. Deep breaths, in and out.

TUESDAY. Taking a moment to appreciate the sunrise before I leave for work. Getting dinner with my sister because we live eight minutes away from each other and don't see each other enough. Playing trivia and being kinda bad at it but still having fun.

WEDNESDAY. Attempting to curl my hair and having it turn out pretty decent. Receiving kind messages from strangers on the Internet. Connecting with people. Celebrating pi day the best way: with pie.

THURSDAY. Finding a lipstick in the perfect shade. Smelling a particular flavor of coffee and being taken right back to a memory. Working out. My kettlebell class. Feeling strong.

FRIDAY. Genuine happiness. Ease. Comfort. Work calls that turn in to casual conversations about our lives. Making it through a whole movie without falling asleep.

SATURDAY. Waking up before 8 a.m. and taking advantage of it. Yoga, pilates, cardio. Hair mask, face mask, exfoliating wash. Smoothie. Freelance work. Going shopping and finding exactly what I was looking for. Meeting up with a friend to go rollerskating for the first time in maybe 15 years. Trying a Reuben sandwich for the first time.
