Today I want to remind you to take care of yourself. I also want to remind you that this does not necessarily mean eating vegetables and spending an hour at the gym. Sometimes taking care of yourself means spending your night on the couch and eating pizza. Listen to your body. Listen to your mind.



Grateful for the lovely people in my life and eager to let them know that. This year, I sent out Christmas cards to my friend and immediate family for the first time. The purpose was to extend best wishes but also to remind these people that they're important to me. To remind them of their strengths and their worth, just in case they forgot.

I had a lovely holiday weekend. I was excited for my family to open the gifts I got them, and I also received so many great and thoughtful gifts myself from friends and family – my own suitcase (now I need to book a flight), a set of kettlebells (do other people not ask for fitness equipment for Christmas?), mugs, sweaters, and a movie night, basically.

I've started bingeing "Shameless" on Netflix. I don't really know why I like it so much because even though it has its comedic bits, it's a pretty serious show. I'm just finishing the second season and it's breaking my heart. I'm hooked, though.
