3 Things From The Past Week // 04

1 | Every day on my way to work, I pass the same little old lady walking down the street. We usually end up at the street corner at the same time. I'm at a red light waiting to turn right and she's crossing the street in front of me. This happens literally every day. I've come to expect it. As I pull up at the light, I realize I'm already scanning the sidewalk looking for her.

It's weird how precise the timing is – not only am I passing her every day but it's in the exact same spot. I wonder if she notices that the same car is always at the light with her.

2 | International Delight came out with One Touch Latte, to turn your morning cup of coffee into a latte, and let me tell you, it's delicious. Weekend mornings out on the balcony, writing or reading while I sip a latte? Perfect.

3 | I wonder if I should try meditating regularly. I've tried it only once before, with the Headspace app, and I felt distracted the entire time. I think it was only a 10- or 15-minute session, but I kept checking the clock to see how much longer I had. Essentially, I did not meditate.

It's probably one of those things where you have to be in the right space for it to be the most effective. You can't start meditating because you feel like you should be (which I think is what I did because I just kept hearing about the Headspace app lol). You do it when you want to, when it feels right. Maybe I'll try again.
