3 Things From The Past Week // 18

Sunday, December 17, 2017

1 | On Tuesday I flew back from 75-degree Phoenix to 22-degree Chicago. It was... cold. But in a way, I was also happy about it. December doesn't feel like December without the cold. The holidays don't feel like the holidays without some snow. It's good to be back.

2 | With eight days to spare, I've finished all of my Christmas shopping. Family, friends, stocking stuffers, presents. Done. I accidentally did 70 percent of it at World Market. If you've ever been there, you'll understand. I could easily spend three hours there. That place has everything.

3 | There are a lot of movies out there that pretty much everyone has seen except me. This includes holiday movies. So I am trying (trying! Don't hold me to it) to watch one holiday movie every day until Christmas Eve.

Yesterday I watched – brace yourself – "Home Alone" for the first time. It was good, even though Kevin is a total brat. But I think if my uncle, a grown man, called me a "little jerk" in front of my whole family for accidentally spilling milk, I'd be a brat too.

Others on my list: "The Holiday," "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (sorry), "Christmas Vacation," "Christmas With The Kranks," "Love Actually" (which I've seen but didn't like and everyone is surprised so I'm going to watch it again), and "Jingle All The Way."
